FAQ

Clear and simple answers to your questions about psychology and my method.

Psychologist or Psychotherapist: Which One to Choose?

It depends on your needs. If you are looking for practical support to manage anxiety, stress, self-esteem, or relationship difficulties, a registered psychologist (like me) is often the most suitable choice. Psychotherapy is more appropriate when dealing with more structured disorders or when you want to work in depth on past experiences.

During the free initial call, we will understand together which path is most useful for you.

How does a session with me work?

The first introductory meeting lasts about 45 minutes, is free, and has no commitment. During this time, you explain why you are reaching out to me.

In the first real session, I listen to your situation with calm and empathy. Together we define your goals and immediately begin working with practical tools. Each session lasts between 50 and 60 minutes and can be held online or in person.

What is my integrated approach?

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with body awareness and mindful movement. Thanks to my dual background in psychology and exercise science, I support people in working not only on their thoughts, but also on physical sensations and emotional regulation — leading to deeper and longer-lasting transformation.

How do I help with performance anxiety in adolescents?

Performance anxiety is very common among teenagers in high school. In my approach, I work on both the cognitive aspect (restructuring catastrophic thoughts) and body awareness.

I teach simple breathing and grounding techniques that students can use before tests or classwork, combined with exercises to boost self-confidence and self-efficacy. Many young people start seeing positive results after just a few sessions.

How long does therapy last?

Every journey is unique. On average, significant improvements can be seen in 8-15 sessions for specific issues. Deeper work may take longer. We set goals together from the first session and regularly review progress.

How do you know if it’s the right time to see a psychologist?

It’s the right time when emotions such as anxiety, sadness, or stress persist for weeks and begin to affect your sleep, relationships, work, or enjoyment of daily activities.

You don’t need to be in a deep crisis. Many people come simply to feel better, manage life changes more effectively, or get to know themselves more deeply. A free initial consultation allows you to understand whether this is the right choice for you, with no commitment.

Is online therapy really as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes, for most people online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy, especially when working with approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and mindfulness.

Many of my clients choose the online format because it is more convenient, flexible, and allows them to work from the comfort of their own home without having to travel.

The key is to have a good internet connection and a quiet, private space. In my experience, the results are very similar — and sometimes even better — because people feel more at ease in their own environment.

Is mindfulness effective for reducing stress?

Yes, mindfulness is very effective, particularly when combined with other tools. In my approach, I go beyond traditional meditation: I integrate mindfulness with mindful movement and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles.

This combination helps calm the nervous system and break cycles of anxious thoughts more effectively.
